What does Blanc de Blancs mean?
Blanc de Blancs means a champagne made only from white grapes, here one hundred percent Chardonnay. That is what gives it its tension and its freshness, where a blend with Pinot Noir brings more roundness. A Blanc de Blancs is still champagne: the difference is the grape, not the appellation.
Serving and storage
Serve between 8 and 10 °C, in a white-wine glass rather than a narrow flute, which closes the aromas down. Before opening, keep the bottle lying down, away from light and from swings in temperature. A cellar or the bottom of a cupboard will do; the refrigerator only for the hours before serving.
Grower champagne
We are Récoltant-Manipulant, a grower producer. The Chardonnay in this cuvée comes from our own parcels, picked by hand, parcel by parcel. Nothing is bought in from the trade, nothing is vinified elsewhere.
